WHAT TO SEE IN LOS CAÑOS DE MECA
Discover the magic of our surroundings
Los Caños de Meca is a district of Barbate, in the province of Cadiz (Andalusia, Spain). Located in the interior of the Natural Park of La Breña and the Barbate Marshlands, with a land area of 2,017 hectares and 940 hectares of marine area, it is home to one of the most outstanding features of the coast of Cadiz: the cliffs of Los Caños de Meca, with a maximum height of 100 metres above sea level. These cliffs are crossed by an extensive forest of stone pine accompanied by junipers and Mediterranean scrub.
Gulls, egrets, kestrels, owls and buzzards are some of the common birds of prey in this forest ecosystem.
Six beaches of fine white sand and crystal-clear water ensure peaceful enjoyment, even at the busiest times of the year.
